GGL certification of biomass meets requirements RE100

RE100 is a global corporate renewable energy initiative that unites hundreds of large, ambitious businesses committed to 100% renewable electricity. Established in 2014, RE100 has over 400 members worldwide working to change policies to incorporate more renewable energy into the grid in some of the most challenging markets.

One of RE100’s recommendations is that the biomass supply should ideally be certified by a third party regarding sustainability aspects, and GHG data should be provided.

GGL certification for the biomass supply chain up to the energy producer aligns with the recommendations and requirements of RE100. Energy producers using GGL-certified biomass and pursuing RE100 qualification can trust their compliance in this regard.
