Update on applications from new CB’s

The board of the GGL Foundation has decided to temporarily suspend new applications of Certification Bodies until October 1st 2026. That means that any application from new Certification Bodies received, will not be reviewed by GGL prior to that date.

Since 2024 the GGL Scheme has grown substantially through the activities of the 12 existing GGL Certification Bodies. Last March 2nd 2026 the new GGL Documentation has been Adopted, which can be reviewed here. Currently, all 12 of our existing Certification Bodies are in the process of or will be revising their accreditations to reflect the new GGL Documentation at the latest by March 1st 2027.

The coming period will be used to harmonize the way in which certification activities are performed and the GGLedger platform is deployed. GGL will host trainings with existing Certification Bodies and National Accreditation Bodies involved with their accreditation, to elaborate on the documentation changes and how these will impact accreditation-requirements.

Should you have any further question at this stage, please do not hesitate to reach out.
